Following the used book sale that was held at the beginning of August, I wanted to provide an update on what funds have been raised to date and how many books have been sold at the sales or online.

Since December 2022,

- a total of 1168 books have been sold online raising approximately £500.

- tables have been hired out to stall holders at the table top sale and Droxford Maker's Market raising approximately £150.

- at least 700 books have been sold at the book sales in March and August raising approximately £350.

The result is that an amazing £1000 has been raised for the Village Hall AND at least 1900 books have been reused, recycled and avoided landfill.

(All books at the sales were sold for 50p each and some children's books were sold as 3 for £1. The books sold online were priced according to the resell value at the time. Taking all sales into account, books were sold for an average of 46p each.)

Thank you Droxford, as ever, for all your support through donations of books and/or attending these community events. Thank you also to Wilfrid's Cafe for always working collaboratively with us via advertising and providing vouchers for our customers. Finally, thank you to my family who enable to me store and sort books constantly at our homes and help so much with the sales. See you in March for the next Book Sale.
