At 0900 on Saturday 15th May, wreaths will be laid at the Cenotaph war memorial in Whitehall to commemorate the centenary of the exact time of the founding of the Royal British Legion on 15th May 1921. Branches of the Royal British Legion have been invited to lay wreaths at local memorials to coincide with this commemorative act. The Droxford and District Branch will be holding a very short outdoor service and wreath laying at the Second World War memorial adjacent to The Square in Droxford. Members of the public are welcome to join in and participants should assemble by 0855.
